Brooklyn Bridge Records

Taking the original ethos of 4AD Records as its guiding line, Brooklyn Bridge Records was formed in 2015 to produce stunning editions of beautifully curated records in packaging designed by Vaughan Oliver.

The first release was the Ensemble album from Stefano Guzzetti lavishly presented in two limited editions of 200 (Deluxe) and 50 (Royal), plus 100 hand-numbered prints available separately.

Needless to say, Vaughan’s blazing designs typified his unique style and set the standard for the new labels output, but it was the production values, which really took my breath. Both editions comprise two 10” vinyl discs housed in a gatefold sleeve printed with inner sleeves all adorned with spot UV varnish throughout. If this were not enough, the Royal edition includes a de-bossed slipcase furnished with shimmering metallic ink giving a luxurious touch.

Subsequent releases again featured Stefano Guzzetti with his wonderful Leaf album given the Vaughan Oliver treatment including exquisite metallic printing on delightfully soft boards, plus an eight-page booklet and complimentary art print. The standard was maintained by subsequent releases on behalf of Waves on Canvas and Old Fire with most editions now long out of print.

Six further releases were promised in May, but have yet to see the light of day so keep visiting the Facebook page or visit the site below for updates.
